The Possibility I Am Working On Is . . .

The possibility I am working on is connecting people to their deeper selves and bringing their vulnerability into the room.

A possibility statement is different from a goal. Goals have their place, but they don’t inspire. A goal is too small a god for a person to build his life around.

A possibility statement, on the other hand, is powerful. It may exceed an individual life. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” is an example of this.

I may not accomplish my possibility in my lifetime, but it is worth reaching for. Continue Reading »

Another Path

unknownMore than ever, the world needs creative thinkers and innovators. Our social and business problems are so immense that following someone else’s well-worn path won’t lead to great opportunities. It’ll lead to more of what is known and already being done.

The quiet, insistent voice inside us saying to do that ‘crazy,’ new thing is the voice of wisdom.

We each need to follow the path of this voice.

In “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock,” poet T.S. Eliot beautifully expressed this opportunity.

And indeed there will be time
To wonder, “Do I dare?” and “Do I dare?”. . .
